Uniden(IRVING, TX, February 7, 2014) – Uniden America Corp. is pleased to announce that PhoneSuite, a leading provider of hotel voice communication solutions for over 25 years, has completed interoperability testing of its Voiceware VoIP phone system software and the Uniden EXP1240 SIP DECT Cordless Mobility Solution.

The Uniden SIP/DECT phones are a great fit for the hospitality market, as well as the SMB, enterprise and retail markets. The EXP1240 platform currently supports up to 200 cordless users per network segment.

Uniden has worked directly with the PhoneSuite development staff to ensure PhoneSuite users, system integrators and resellers wanting to utilize the Uniden phones can easily configure them directly with the Voiceware system.

“Uniden worked alongside our team as they moved into the SIP DECT mobility marketplace,” said PhoneSuite President Frank Melville. “Uniden has a great product, and we enthusiastically welcome them into the PhoneSuite technology partner ecosystem.”

The EXP1240 mobility platform supports seamless roaming on up to 40 DECT Access points with zero interference with other wireless networks. A single access point can support as many as 30 cordless handsets per access point with eight simultaneous conversations, and up to 200 handsets on a single network segment are supported. The color handsets support up to four lines and feature multiple codecs, over the air synchronization, a wide-band 2-way speakerphone and an integrated site survey tool for simple wireless setup.
